Need a micro-lens array or a diffractive optic?
Different scale sizes and features require different techniques.
We can use e-beam, gray scale photolithography, diamond turning, ablation and a dozen other exotic techniques to master your parts. But mastering parts can be expensive. So we have learned how to inexpensively replicate parts with exacting fidelity.
We can do soft molds, nickel shims, seamless roll to roll, roll to sheet, cast and cure, extrusion, and many other esoteric copyng techniques. In a large variety of materials, thicknesses, and finishes.
And rather than making excessively large masters, we can weld shims together to make large masters, or UV recombine to add features together from multiple mastering techniques.
Excelsior Optronics LLC is excited to offer a new antimicrobial film from Lumenco.
Early testing shows it to be far superior to anything else on the market. It uses multiple technologies to isolate unwanted pathogens and stop them from propagating and forming bio-films, killing them by ripping holes in the outer walls.
The clear or translucent film contains a micro-surface that is very unfriendly to bacterium and viruses and is imbedded with metallic nano-particles. It prevents the microbes from moving easily and kills them when the cell walls are ruptured by contact stresses from movement, or thermo-elastomeric stretching.
This eco-friendly solution is a wonderful addition to transparent barriers in front of store cashiers and in high use areas such as door handles or touch screens.
Testing indicates that it it kills more than 99.9997% of common bacteria such as E. coli. We believe it will also be effective on COVID-19 but that testing is not yet complete.
Below are two links to other websites for theoretical work on how and why disruptive micro-surfaces work to kill pathogens and stop microbial films from forming.

You probably have one or two people in your company who know all the ins and outs of MetroPro or Durango. But those one or two people are valuable and can't be everywhere.
We can do on site classes to train people in how to do proper metrology.
One of our specialties is to calibrate your scratch/dig calibration masters.
To insure that you are making valid comparisons when measuring scratches on your glass, you need to have confidence that your masters are meeting specification. How do you know that a scratch is actually a 20? It could really be a 40, and you can't easily tell that by eye.
Send us your Breyson, Davidson, or JenOptik standard and we will evaluate them. We will do a professional analysis of each standard and issue a certificate of calibration for each part. We will give you a detailed report of our measurements.
Trying to measure a cylinder, and don't know how to hold it?
Measuring aspheres is extremely fixture-oriented process. A standard Zygo 5 axis mount, or a three jawed chuck just won't do the trick. We have seen it all, and can help you with your fixturing in an effective (but cost conscious) manner.
